The New York Girl Style Dress A Fashionista shopping event at the Single Dress Showroom was truly the place to be this holiday season as shoppers were treated to a celebrity style shopping event featuring an exclusive selection from top designer, Single Dress. Fashionistas delighted in a potent mix of shopping and cocktails as they looked through the amazing array of contemporary dresses.

Single Dress, designed by Galina Sobolev delivers the latest in forward fashion, combining classic style and luxury with beautiful, exuberant attitude. Known for gorgeous fabrics and one-of-a-kind original prints from Italy and France, Single Dress is an unapologetic stand for a woman’s individual style and confidence. Single Dress has been spotted on a ton of stylish celebs such as Eva Longoria, Jennifer Lopez, Fergie, Taylor Swift, and Hayden Panatierre.

Before the night was over, all the fashionistas in attendance recieved styling tips from New York Girl Style’s fashion stylist and took home an exclusive New York Girl Style shopping bag.The designer shopping sale event was also profiled in The New York Post.

The New York Style shopping event was all the buzz in the big apple as celebrity designer Nikka New York had corks popping and fashionistas were dressed to dazzle. Nikka New York is a fast growing lifestyle brand of high-end women’s wear apparel and accessories. Designer Nikka creates sparkling looks through her unique embellishments and sense of style that have created a strong and loyal following among many celebrity clientele including: Sarah McLachlan, Mischa Barton, Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Vanessa Minnillo, and Hilary Duff.

Guests enjoyed sipping cocktails from Everglo V2 Vodka, Brava Italia Energy Drinks and Peroni Italy while shopping celebrity style. The fashionistas were out that night Prada handbags ready to go and showing their personal style searching for the must have item as they viewed the chic trendy collections. The dresses were fabulous and designer lines Nikka New York, Single Dress, Foxygoods and Pietro Alessandro showed their best pieces at the uber cool shopping event. Celebrity DJ was spinning that upbeat music while the s enjoyed being the toast of the town. New York Style Ian Wheeldon Fashion Director was spinning his magic on styling tips for the s and how to incorporate the designer lines into their personal wardrobe. All guest enjoyed a special shopping event hosted at Nikki Beach in New York City.

On October 22, New York Talk got the scoop on whats hot on our radar as Hollywood and New York City came together to celebrate US Weekly’s picks for Hollwood’s most influential stars of today. Last week hot, young celebrities such as Christina Milian, Blake Lively, Vanessa Hudgens, and Zac Effron were honered at the stylish NYC studio, Skylight ,with Zac taking home the most coveted of all the awards that night, The Star of the Year. Ashley Tisdale also grabbed an award that night for Quadruple Threat of the Year.

The cast of High School Musical weren’t the only winners at the Us Weekly Bash that night. A host of other hot celebs also took home awards including The City’s Whitney Port for Breakout of the Year, Project Runway’s Heidi Klum for Style Icon of the Year, Lauren Conrad for Celebrity Designer of the Year, and the CW’s Gossip for Cast of the Year.

New York Style members were invited to shopping heaven to Celebrate Anne Klein, one of New York City ’s top designers. The Celebration of 40 Years of Fashion had a fashion show with the gorgeous Anne Klein Collection. The Style Wisdom event presentation included expert styling advice from an Elle’s Fashion Merchandising editor and local style experts Laney Crowell, Fashion Content Director, StyleCaster.com and Francesca Mills, Celebrity Fashion Stylist. Throughout the event they shared their Style Wisdom and gave you fashion tips on how you can incorporate AK Anne Klein into your personal wardrobe.

Hot Pink

By now it may be fairly obvious, but bland tones and “safe” colors aren’t making the cut. From celebrities to New York City’s socialites, brights are definitely the way to go. With new neon-retro 80’s colors streamlining through everyone’s collections from Diane von Furstenberg to Rachel Pally and Christian Louboutin, designers are creating flashy but fabulous attire to suit the inner pink lover in everyone. Wearing them out at first might be a little tough since we’re all so used to our black-on-black routine…but you can ease in with Essie nail color in Short Shorts or even with Marc by Marc Jacobs clutch..then you can move on to some fabulous Louboutins.

Fun Finds

For most of us, $3000 handbags are dreams..not realities. As a young, fabulous, and broke shopper myself, I’ve found little ways to keep up with ever-changing New York City trends without breaking the bank (too much) especially in this oh-so-questionable market! Here are some great discoveries I’ve made recently. Be sure to check in for new secret swaps as I try to keep us all fashionably up-to-date and with extra cash in our pockets.

On May 9th, in New York City, New York Girl Style hosted the Lipstick Jungle Designer Sale at the Dream hotel. The event lasted from 6 to 9 and was an amazing success. It was a night of Imperia vodka cocktails and shopping the best designer lines, which includes top fashion designers, Walter Baker, Linda Richards, Kara Janx, Robin Jordan, Gender Bias, and more. Leading designer Walter Baker himself made an appearance and Justina McCaffrey, international fashion designer, was there to mingle and shop the inspiring designers.  Fun, flirty, and fabulous guests enjoyed Bed Head styling products to look gorgeous every season!

Vanessa Scheffler, spokesmodel, looked gorgeous in a Walter Baker sequined black dress and she awarded two autographed Lipstick Jungle books to two lucky guests!

Christian Cota’s, a contemporary American designer, jacket was recently featured on CW Television’s hit and trendy show, Gossip Girls.  Blake Lively, or “Serena” wore his taupe cocoon jacket that was featured in the designers premiere Spring 2008 Collection.

Cota is called one of the “Ten Newcomers to Watch” for 2008 by Style.com based on his Spring collection.  His interestingly shaped and coloredpieces are innovative and combine a New York spirit with sophistication.  Be sure to keep an eye out for this hot up-and-coming designer!

The Lake City Screening After Party was held on April 25th, in New York City, at 66 Bank Street.  The party was hosted by Allison Sarofim and was full of celebrity and surprise.  Celebrities like Jane Fonda, Sissy Spacek, and Colin Ford appeared on the red carpet and mingled for most of the night.

New York Girl Style’s own Levin Rambin made a stylish entrance in a jacket and blouse by Jenni Kayne over a LNA tank.  On bottom was a Tibi skirt and mixing luxury with affordability were Steve Madden shoes.   The sparkling necklace was Lulu Frost and the clutch was LAI.  She looked impeccable in the put together ensemble and was dressed perfectly for the evening.

On April 17th, CondeNast held their 8th Annual Hot List Party in New York City. It was a night of excitement and high style with celebrity guests like gorgeous singers Ashlee Simpson ad Natasha Bedingfield, actor Milo Ventimiglia, and America’s Next Top Model winner Jaslene Gonzalez, and Elisabeth Hasselbeck. The red carpet entrances were glamorous and filled with excitement as stars sauntered in.

Katrina Bowden sparkled in a Walter Baker cocktail dress that was perfect for spring because of the bright yellow color. She complimented it perfectly with strappy black pumps and a simple black clutch. Her makeup was simple but dramatic and completed the look effortlessly.

Bergdorf Goodman, in NYC, presented designer Alice & Olivia Spring 2008 Collection. It was a well-planned night of fashion and excitement with top leading fashion names attending. Leven Rambin was only one of the sparkling stars there. Leven Rambin stood out in an Alice & Olivia dress, while also honoring the designer of the night! Her pumps were Giuseppe Zanotti and her clutch was Botkier. Her earrings and bracelet that complimented the simplicity of the dress were Thea Grant, and her rings were Iosslliani.
