New York Girl Style Hearts Moschino

October 14th,  New York Girl Style attended Moschino, Vogue & Whitney Contemporaries at the Moschino store in Manhattans Meatpacking district. The Italian high fashion label had invited New Yorks fashion elite to get an exclusive preview of the Spring/Summer 2010 collection they recently showed at Milan Fashion Week. While the racks we´re holding the current Autumn/Winter 2009 pieces, selected styles from the new collection were shown on mannequins from small platorms. Featuring some very colorful dresses showing marvelous prints, partially signed with the characertistic Moschino Hearts. We immediately started to dream of summer in Sardinia. Take sundowner cocktails in style, we recommend the gorgeous little black dress. Nicely draped in the front and clinged in the back with  feminine bows.  Works perfectly on a Mediterranean cruise as well as at a Manhattan rooftop bar.

We mingled with the crowd to catch the latest fashion buzz. While gathering around we spotted many dynamic fashion people like Alessandro Varisco, CEO of Moschino.  New Yorker Designer Adam Lippes was one of the hosts. He complimented the new collection by Rosella Jardini, Moschino’s head of design. Once Franco Moschino’s right hand, she is now pursueing his fantastic ideas and gives every piece a very modern, edgy twist. We fell in love with the new Collection.
But also the Autumn/Winter 2009 Collection is a great catch. Especially the brilliant „Matador“ Jacket cought our eye. Kind of a Torero- / MJ memorial piece, sparkly and unique, emerged from a close range to be over and over sumptuously decorated with safety pins and studs. Great idea. Oh and we have mention the great colors? Elegant shades of grey, mixed with a view leopard-print pieces and flamboyant red dresses. A perfect mixture, Italian flavor with some uptown allure.  We are without a doubt that the New York girls love Moschino.
